Qualities of a good father | 5 qualities of a father

One of the less talked about topics is the role of a father in a child’s upbringing. We have already talked about the qualities of a good mother in detail. It is time we focus on the qualities of a good father. No doubt, a mother is more attached to the child and is more important to her. But one cannot replace a father’s place. The following are some of the qualities that all good fathers have.

Emotional

Who said men cannot be emotional. Being emotional is in no way a sign of weakness. In fact, it shows how well you are connected to your loved ones. A good father is an emotional man who can feel a connection with the child. This, in turn, binds them together as a complete family.

Supportive

A father is the main pillar of the family on whose shoulders the whole family stays intact. Therefore a father needs to be very supportive. He should support the needs of both mother and the child.

Participative

To know your kids better, you have to participate in their activities. Kids also love their fathers to play with them and have fun. Participation ensures quality time spent together.

Counselor

Children seek the guidance of their fathers. Therefore, being a good counselor is a must-have quality of a good father. He should be a coach and a guide to his children and inculcate good habits in them. He should tell them the difference between right and wrong and teach them life values like “Beauty Conscience” and “Strength Conscience”

Practice what you preach

A father must be a man of his words. He should become a role model in the eyes of his kids. Whatever he teaches them, he should practice it himself. Then only the kids will respect him and follow into his footsteps.

The above-mentioned qualities are just the tip of the iceberg. Fathers play a vital role in a child’s life.
