“Alexa, play ChuChu TV”. This is not a clickbait title to grab readers’ attraction. This has become the truth of my life. In today’s internet world, everything is becoming smart. I mean, who had thought that we could control our window curtains by our voice. It’s like those “Khuj Ja Sim Sim” moments where everything is at our voice’s command. The following article is about our daily life around one such smart device Amazon’s voice assistant Alexa. Read along to find out more about “Alexa Play ChuChu TV”.
Husband is a gadget freak
All men are the same. Don’t get me wrong. I just mean to say that like all the men out there, my husband is a gadget freak too. Before our marriage he owned a home theatre projector too, imagine. Staying with him has made me a little tech-savvy too. A perfect smart home is now our dream. Recently, my husband bought a voice control device- Amazon Echo. We were very excited to have it.
Our expectations with Amazon Echo were very high. As explained by my husband, with it we could perform many functions like:
- Switch on and off a smart LED bulb
- Listen to songs of any genre just by saying the name of the song
- Control the light intensity
- Change the color of the light
- Switch on our television
- Smart lock our house (when we own one)
- Control window blinds
- Increase and decrease the volume of any song
- Setup wakeup alarms
- and many more
When you have a toddler in your house, all your dreams and expectations have to take a backseat. So when Echo was installed we were overjoyed and commanded it to sing every song of every genre in the world. We also bought a Syska Smart LED Light along with it. After many hits and trials, my husband was finally able to connect it. I don’t know how many times we changed the color of the light. But that was day one. As the night grew younger, my daughter was getting tougher to go to bed. We now had Aladdin’s lamp. The first command to our little genie was: “Alexa, play ChuChu TV”. And the voice of Alexa replied, “Say the name of the song, choose categories or simply say play all”. That was it. Till now Alexa has been playing ChuChu TV and the like. Kaira’s and my favorite voice commands for Alexa are:
- “Alexa play ChuChu TV”
- “Alexa, play Chandaniya Lori Lori”
- “Alexa, play nursery rhymes”
- “Alexa, play wheels on the bus”
- “Alexa, play Johny Johny”
- “Alexa, play the colors song”
- And the list goes on and on
Gone are the days of changing lights, smart control TV’s and smart curtains. All we have is Kaira’s choice, which is true because Kaira is our one and only choice. With such smart kids, our home will definitely get smarter. Food for thought: Should you give smartphones to your child to make them smart?
